Meet Our Team

Lorne A. Greenfield, Founder, CEPA®

Lorne A. Greenfield, Certified Exit Planning Advisor® (CEPA), is the founder and creator of Capital Concepts USA. He has worked for more than 40 years in corporate direction and management for large organizations, and he has conceived the vision and strategy for more than 30 start-up companies of his own. His background includes a wide range of verticals including software, construction, real estate, consulting, and financial services. 

Lorne is passionate about supporting the owners of small to midsize businesses to grow their companies sustainably and profitably and establish a strong exit strategy. He founded Capital Concepts USA as a way to give back to the entrepreneurial community because he saw the dismal numbers related to selling businesses. His direct personal experience starting and building businesses gives him invaluable insight into what contributes to these dismal results. He is on a mission to help owners defy the odds and succeed where many others fall short.

A native of Montreal, Lorne holds a Bachelor’s Degree from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a Master’s Degree from Stanford University. A professed “rabid” hockey fan, he applies to business the leadership skills he developed as a player for three decades and a lifetime student of the game.

Dan Harper, Vice President of Sales 

Dan has worked with large corporations and startups, giving him experience and knowledge of the challenges that both present. Currently, he helps small to mid-sized companies identify areas for improvement in their Sales Departments. He identifies opportunities for increasing both the team’s capabilities and capacity in sales, and helps them build a strategy. He focuses on building the systems and processes needed to increase a business’s revenue dramatically. He says, “This is the proper foundation to enable ongoing profitable growth.” Dan is married with two adult children. He enjoys outdoor sports like hunting and fishing, and cheering for his alma mater’s football team (the Georgia Bulldogs).

Noah Wilson, Financial Modeling Analyst

Noah is a graduate from the University of Georgia with a BBA in Finance. He has been with Capital Concepts USA since August of 2022 as a Financial Modeling Analyst, and now serves as a Financial Modeling Associate full-time. In his free time, he lives out his hobbies of playing guitar, cheering on the Atlanta Braves and Georgia Bulldogs, and going hiking as much as he can.

Derrick Williams, Client Consulting Lead 

Derrick joined Capital Concepts in 2023 as a Client Consulting Lead and provides advisory services to entrepreneurs and management teams. Derrick has more than 25 years of experience as a finance professional, investment banker and investor. 

Prior to Capital Concepts, Derrick served as a CFO for startups and early-stage companies as Acuity. Derrick was also a founder of a boutique investment bank dedicated to entrepreneurs, early-stage and high-growth companies as well as a founder and investor of an early-stage venture fund. Early in his career, Derrick was an investment banker at UBS, Robinson Humphrey, Legg Mason and Robert W. Baird. 

Derrick currently serves on the selection committee for Venture Atlanta, the preeminent Southeast venue for entrepreneurs and venture investors and the board of RAISE Forum, an Atlanta-based funding initiative held twice-a-year to promote early-stage investment opportunities to venture funds, angel groups, high net worth individuals and family offices. He has also served as an adjunct professor and guest lecturer in Finance and Entrepreneurship and last taught in the MBA program at the College of The Bahamas. 

Derrick received his BA in Political Science from Yale University and an MBA in Finance and Entrepreneurship from the Darden Graduate School of Business at the University of Virginia. He maintains securities licenses through FINRA. 

Carolina Lara

Carolina Lara, Executive Assistant

Carolina was born in Mexico and began her career as a culinary professional. She spent 10 years in the cruise industry and continues to be an avid traveler, foodie, and wine enthusiast. Today, Carolina is married with a wonderful 2-year-old son. She’s a self-starter, constantly seeking new knowledge and experiences. She is passionate about cycling and exploring new interests and is currently delving into the world of finance.

Karen Shyne Moriles, Digital Marketing Specialist

Karen Shyne Moriles is a highly skilled and experienced Digital Marketing Specialist who excels at helping business owners, coaches, and entrepreneurs reach their full potential by providing expert guidance in the ever-evolving world of digital marketing. With a keen understanding of the technical aspects involved, Karen ensures that her clients can focus on growing their businesses while leaving the intricate details to her. Despite her busy professional life, Karen cherishes being a full-time mom and enjoys traveling and mall visits with her son.


Angee Murillo

Angee Murillo, CPA – Accounting

Angee is a CPA based in the Philippines with over a decade of accounting experience in shared service and BPO settings. Throughout her career, she has developed expertise in client service and working in a multicultural and diverse environment. She specializes in providing end-to-end accounting services to US clients and has additional experience in Project Accounting and Financial Planning & Analysis. Currently, Angee plays a crucial role in supporting the CCL by executing administrative and accounting tasks with accuracy and timeliness, contributing to successful client delivery.

Joy Bennett, Director of Marketing 

Joy is passionate about making things better everywhere she goes and with everyone she meets. She provides marketing and brand strategy as the founder and owner of Jumpstart Marketing. For more than 20 years, she’s guided small-to-large businesses and nonprofits to capture attention, earn trust, and win business through clear, compelling, and effective messaging and branding. She devours books, has never met a guacamole she didn’t like, finds people and culture endlessly fascinating, and is always willing to ask or say what everyone else is thinking.
